The Slow Teacher Studio™ is a home for professional learning, pedagogical inquiry and coaching in early years education.
Founded by Kelly Boucher, it brings her unique ideas and methodology into one connected space, with different ways to enter depending on how you want to engage.
At its heart is a commitment to creating the conditions for educators to slow down, notice, question, research and think more deeply about the educational worlds they are already part of.
Who is it for?
The Slow Teacher Studio™ is for early years educators, leaders, teams and organisations who want to think more deeply about their work.
You might enter the Studio as an individual educator, looking for professional learning to engage with independently outside the expectations of your workplace. Or you might enter as a team or organisation, wanting sustained coaching, pedagogical dialogue and inquiry that responds to the particular questions, practices and context of your setting.
However you enter, the Studio begins from the same place: Your everyday educational life is already rich with questions worth noticing, researching and thinking-with.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Kelly Boucher is an artist, educator and independent scholar with 25 years of diverse experience in arts, learning and leadership. She created The Slow Teacher Studio™ as a pedagogical space to support individual educators and organisations to think deeply about everyday educational life. Kelly brings together theory and creative inquiry to cultivate thoughtful learning cultures grounded in curiosity, attention and meaningful participation.
